1. Vocabulary Building
New Words:
plan, holiday, travel, packing, swimming, rest, airport, trip, visit, enjoy
Teacher Activity:
Introduce and explain each word using simple examples and real-life connections.
Pupils repeat after the teacher and use each word in a sentence.
Sample Sentences:
We are making a plan for our holiday.
I will visit my grandparents.
My family will take a trip to the village.
2. Oral and Writing Comprehension
Comprehension Passage (Oral or Written):
Next holiday, Seyi and his family will travel to Calabar. They will stay in a hotel and visit the zoo. Seyi is very excited because he will see wild animals like lions and elephants. He will also swim in the hotel pool. Seyi says he will not forget to take pictures.
Comprehension Questions:
Where will Seyi travel to?
Where will they stay?
What animals will he see?
What else will Seyi do?
What will Seyi not forget?
Pupil Activity:
Pupils answer orally, then write their answers in full sentences.
3. Grammar – Expressing Future Actions in the Negative
Definition:
We use “will not” or “won’t” to talk about actions that will not happen in the future.
Structure:
Subject + will not (won’t) + base form of the verb
Examples:

Practice Sentences:
I will not eat junk food during the holiday.
We won’t travel by bus.
My sister will not stay at home.
4. Writing – “How I Plan to Spend My Next Holiday”
Guidelines:
Start by saying what you plan to do.
Say where you plan to go.
Say who you will go with.
Say what you will not do.
End with how you feel about the plan.
Sample Composition:
I plan to spend my next holiday in Ibadan. I will travel with my parents and brother. We will visit my aunt and go to the amusement park. I will swim and play with my cousins. I will not stay indoors all day. I will also not forget to take pictures. I am very happy and can’t wait for the holiday.
Pupil Task:
Pupils write their own paragraph using the above guide and at least two negative future actions.

Convert positive future sentences into negative ones.
