1. Speech Work – Stress Patterns
Definition:
Stress is the extra force or loudness given to one part (syllable) of a word when we say it.
Examples:

Practice: Clap or tap for each syllable and say the word loudly on the stressed part.
2. Grammar – Linking Words
Definition:
Linking words (also called connectives) are words that join sentences or ideas together.
Examples of Linking Words:

4. Writing – Descriptive Essay
Topic: My Favourite Teacher
What is a Descriptive Essay?
A descriptive essay tells about a person, place, or thing by describing how it looks, feels, or acts.
Points to include:
The teacher’s name
The subject he/she teaches
What the teacher looks like
Why you like the teacher
How the teacher helps you
Sample (for guidance):
My favourite teacher is Mr. Ali. He teaches us English. He is tall and wears glasses. He explains lessons very well. He is kind and helps us to learn. I like him because he makes learning fun.
5. Dictation
Dictate 5–10 words or short sentences based on the week’s vocabulary.
